Zinc Chloride is one of the traditional methods of enhancement used after the Ninhydrin processing of latent prints. It greatly improves the fluorescence of print detail when viewed under a forensic light source.

We offer several formulas for use with different Ninhydrin formulas. Our Zinc Chloride Methanol Solution is for use with traditional Ninhydrin formulas. Our Zinc Chloride HFE-7100-Based Solution is for use with HFE-7100-Based Ninhydrin, Thermal Mixture Ninhydrin, or 1,2-Indanedione Solution. Our Zinc Chloride Heptane-Based Solution is for use with Heptane-PE-Based Ninhydrin.

Note: Though not usual, our Zinc Chloride, depending on the quantity ordered, may require an additional hazardous shipping charge be added. We will contact you if this is the case.
