Rhodamine 6G Dye is one of the best dyes used to stain cyanoacrylate-developed prints. Using Rhodamine 6G Dye helps to view and photograph latent prints on various colored surfaces.
Rhodamine 6G Dye is used in conjunction with cyanoacrylate to form a compound that will fluoresce under a laser or forensic light source. Note: It should never be used on latent prints that have not been fumed with cyanoacrylate.
Rhodamine 6G can be applied by spraying the item or by submerging it into the liquid. When using our Rhodamine 6G Dye Methanolic Premixed Liquid, we recommend using our Methanolic Rinse/Destain (Reorder No. CHE-3161).
To view the print, use a laser forensic light source in a dark room. The print should now be photographed and kept as evidence.
Available in a liter bottle of Premixed Aqueous (Reorder No. CHE-3128) or Methanolic Liquid (Reorder No. CHE-3119) for immediate use, Premeasured Concentrate Vial (Reorder No. CHE-3120) to be mixed with one liter of solvent, or in a jar of Powder (Reorder No. CHE-3132). We also offer a liter bottle of Methanolic Rinse/Destain (Reorder No. CHE-3161).
