Tri-Tech Forensics, a leading provider of forensic supplies, human ID kits and forensic training, has been awarded an extension of its exclusive training partnership with the International Association for Identification (IAI) through 2030.

Tri-Tech Forensics has been the official training partner of the IAI since 2015, delivering high-quality courses that support the professional development of forensic practitioners across the United States and beyond. The IAI Training Partnership, first established in 2004, was created to ensure that members of the world’s oldest and largest forensic association have access to high-quality, affordable training opportunities while also generating funding to support the Association’s continued growth.

“Extending this agreement through 2030 reaffirms the strength of our collaboration with the IAI and our shared commitment to advancing forensic science,” said Phil Sanfilippo, Training Director of Tri-Tech Forensics. “Our mission is to deliver training that equips professionals with the skills, confidence and credibility they need in the field.”

Tri-Tech Forensics training programs help forensic practitioners attain certification in the fields in which they specialize and maintain these certifications once they are earned. The 2009 National Academies of Science report “Strengthening Forensic Science in the United States: A Path Forward” recommended certification programs such as those offered by the IAI to strengthen the practice of the forensic sciences.

“We are proud to work with the IAI and its Forensic Certification Management Board (FCMB) to ensure that most of our courses are approved for certification and recertification training credit,” Sanfilippo said.

Through the partnership, Tri-Tech Training (tritechtraining.com) offers in-person and online courses in critical subject areas such as fingerprint processing and identification, crime scene investigation, forensic photography, bloodstain pattern analysis, forensic anthropology, footwear and tire track identification and more. The company also supports the certification process by offering preparatory courses for Crime Scene and Tenprint certification exams. The division boasts courses from a growing list of more than 50 instructors, and planned expansions include training in forensic art, forensic video analysis and digital evidence.

“We look forward to continued collaboration with Tri-Tech Forensics to advance the IAI certification programs and to promote professionalism in the field of forensic science,” said Michele Triplett, Director of the FCMB.

With headquarters in Leland, North Carolina, Tri-Tech Forensics delivers training across the country and abroad. Courses can be hosted locally by agencies, offering significant cost savings, fostering regional networking and generating economic support for the IAI. Since 2020, the Training Division has also expanded into webinars, broadening access to high-quality instruction worldwide.
