The kit’s portable charging capability is specifically designed to prevent devices from entering lockout mode, minimize the time required to bypass passcodes, and maintain power throughout the transfer process. Once at the lab, investigators can use unlocking tools such as GrayKey, Cellebrite, Magnet, XRY, BlackBag, and Oxygen to extract data from the devices.
The SKB-designed Deploy Kit case is built from ultra high-strength polypropylene copolymer resin and features a gasket-sealed, water- and dust-tight, submersible design (MIL-STD 810G), offering resistance to corrosion and impact damage. Inside, five fully equipped compartments include all necessary charging components and Window Charge & Shield Faraday Bags, enabling simultaneous charging of up to five devices. A backup battery can also be charged and swapped in to ensure uninterrupted power.
Each cable set includes a universal angle USB A/M to A/M extension cable along with a selection of popular tips—Lightning, Micro USB, and USB-C—allowing easy connection to various devices. The compartments are designed to accommodate phones or small tablets along with their respective cable sets.
Included in the kit are Vigilant Volt Forensic Data Preserving Power Banks, which continue to supply power even after a device reaches 100% charge. This feature is critical in digital forensics, ensuring that devices remain powered and accessible throughout the investigation process—unlike standard power banks that stop output once full charge is detected.
