Data Acquisition Modes are Clone, DD, E01, L01 with MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256 and SHA-512 hashing. The UltimateKit X features a combined mode that captures a Clone and DD (different destination drives) in a single pass reading of the suspect drive.
A front panel LCD/soft-touch navigation creates a user-friendly environment while the web browser interface controls system configuration, management, and operation. Remote operation is supported through a network or VPN. The web browser allows "triage" exploration of suspect drives, including opening files, HEX edit for metadata review, SMART data, and HDPARM data, and it can be multi-user password protected, including assignment of specific permission levels by user profile.
Other features include a drive cleaning utility supporting 10 presets and user configurable options, log files stored on an SD card (for classified and intelligence applications), stealth mode for use with night vision goggles and in darkened offices, and an HD tool to remove drive cables or covers without damaging the drive and evidence.
The Momentum UltimateKit X supports extra expansion modules for additional connectivity; expansion modules include USB 3.0, FireWire 800, Thunderbolt, SCSI, and SAS, making this write-blocking and duplicating system the most complete and easiest to use on the market.
