Forensic archeology, the practice of using traditional archeological methods in criminal investigations, can provide important pieces of evidence from areas thought to be crime scenes. In order to gather evidence that might go unnoticed, investigators are turning to tools like TRITECHFORENSICS’ Sifting Screens to help determine cause of death, length of time a body has been in a certain location, and to locate small remains or artifacts.

Made from white pine and treated with a water-repellent laquer, our series of Sifting Screens are an affordable way to use forensic archeology at your crime scenes. Available in both hand and rocker versions, these sifting screens are lightweight, portable, and easy to use. Smoothed edges prevent injury, and cleaning can usually be accomplished by rinsing the sifter with a hose. Rust-proof fasteners mean your sifter can last for years.

TRITECHFORENSICS’ Sifting Screens are available with either galvanized wire or black poly mesh. The wire screen is available with .125, .25, and .50 inch openings while our black polyethylene mesh is available with .25 and .50 inch openings.

Our Rocking Sifter has a removeable tray with hand openings and holes through which rope can be inserted in order to hang the tray from a tree or pole. This makes the Rocking Sifter capable of being used by one person. Additionally, replacement trays may be ordered for your Rocking Sifter with different screen sizes, making your sifter useful in many locations and terrains.

Because each of our sifters are custom-made, please allow up to 4 weeks for delivery.

A standard 6 month warranty is included with your Sifting Screen purchase.
